Rich Leonardo

"It is critical to remember that we are ultimately serving patients; real people with varying degrees of understanding, trepidation, experience and circumstances. Courtney has worked in managed care for over twelve years and has been with Ascential Care Partners for the past four years in multiple roles including; Case Management Supervisor, Recruitment Manager, and Field Case Manager. Courtney started her professional career path in non-profit management with special interest focused on homeless and community health and housing. She has clinical experience working with vulnerable populations and her passion is new program implementation. She received her Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work in Chicago, IL. She naturally gravitated to medical management while working in Nashville with a large self-insured customer that offered her the opportunity to be a part of a team to implement a "housing first" case management program for the chronically homeless. This program initially started as a ten-year plan to reduce the number of chronically homeless individuals who had complex medical needs and today continues with national focus and recognition. Courtney pursued her Certified Case Management certification to focus on strictly managed care case management. She worked for 8 years in Workers Compensation Medical Management across the State of Tennessee, before moving into Supervision. Courtney worked with some of Ascential Care Partners first National Customers and moved into a focus of recruitment and staff training. "I love working for Ascential Care Partners, they are different than many managed care organizations in their basic core principals. They focus on the patient, advocacy, and utilizing technology to enhance the ability for service delivery. ACP's philosophy is what excites me! One core principal is to be Tenacious and Fierce, I love applying this mindset to our practice model."
